Getting Ready!!

Posted by bethany

Vacation here we come! We are getting ready to go on vacation and to do that I am planning some of the stuff ahead of time. We will be driving for 18 hours to get where we are going and then we will stay for about a week and drive 12 hours to visit family and then and other 1-13 hours to get back home. In order to save some in the food area we will be packing food for the drive.

Day #1
Breakfast: Muffins (freezer) and Juice (Stockpile)

Lunch: Sandwiches, apple sauce (stock pile) and Carrot sticks, juice (Stock Pile)
Snacks: Quacker rice cake (Stock pile), carrot sticks, and chips(Stock Pile)
Dinner: Eat out

Day #2
Breakfast: Muffins

Lunch: Sandwiches, apple sauce and Carrot Sticks

Dinner: Eat out

After that I have purchased a gift certificate for a restaurant on the Island we will be going to from Resturants.com I look forward to using it. I would have purchased more but there is only one restaurant on the Island that offers these.

I plan while we are gone to go shopping at CVS since We dont have those here and I plan to get the most out of our money and I will get snacks for the road with the extra. Because we are not going to be doing grocery shopping while we are gone I plan to use some of my grocery money to help pay for food, along with the money we have set aside.

I am just curious How much do you normally spend for a vacation and do you bring your own food?
